Become a Part of a New Havurah
Getting to know people in a large congregation can be intimidating for some. Belonging to a Havurah is a great way to become better acquainted with others who have similar interests.
A Havurah is simply a Jewish group, usually affiliated with a synagogue, which meets periodically to discuss Jewish topics, or to socialize. Havurot (the plural of Havurah) have been a fixture at Temple Israel for many years. Recently, many of our congregants have asked that we help them form new Havurot.
Saul Wallach, a member of our congregation, has agreed to serve as our new Havurah Coordinator. If you would like to pursue the opportunity to build new and lasting friendships that so many of our current Havurot members enjoy, we urge you to take the first step by completing the Havurah interest form and Saul will match you with congregants with similar interests.
