□ ADULT EDUCATION - Open Chair
Plan, prepare and promote on going programs of educational and cultural interest
for the congregation and community.
□ CHEVRA KADISH (WOMEN), Debbie Hirsch
□ CHEVRA KADISH (MEN), Abe Bober/Mark Goldsmith/Shel Goldstein
Assist, when called upon, with the funeral and burial preparations, in
accordance with Jewish ritual and law under the
guidance of the Rabbi.
□ CONGREGATIONAL CHOIR, Cantor Elias Roochvarg
To enhance High Holiday, Festival and other Services
□ EDUCATION,
Set, regulate and supervise policy for both Hebrew and secular educational
programs in religious school under the
advisement of the School Principal. Prescribe course of study, hours of
operation, budget preparation and also assist
with recruitment, retention and review of School Principal and staff.
□ KITCHEN, Judy Slade
Set, regulate and supervise policies for the kitchen.
□ MEMBERSHIP, Fran Dordick & Anne Weiss
Solicit, inform and encourage new and/or non-affiliated members of the community
to find their spiritual home with
Temple Israel and in charge of membership retention.
□ MINYAN, Joe Kodsi
Supervise, administer and promote attendance for daily religious services at
Temple and in homes of mourning.
□ PUBLIC RELATIONS -
Seek writers and photographers to publicize and report on Temple events and
activities.
□ RITUAL, Frank Rosen
Set policy for structure and format of all religious services under the
advisement of the Rabbi.
□ SHOMERIM, Steve Weiner
Assist when called upon, to sit with the deceased.
□ SICK AND VISITATION, Sue Aizenman
Bring cheer to hospitalized or homebound Temple members with personal visits.
□ SOCIAL ACTION, Currently No Chair
Plan current and long-range congregation service projects including methods for
implementing the selected projects.
□ VOLUNTEERS - Tess Berger
Coordinates and recruits volunteers to work within the Synagogue..
□ USHERING - Peter Levinson
Set, regulate and supervise a plan for recruitment and retention of members to
greet and seat all who attend services at
the Temple.
□ YOUTH, Joe Steiner
Set, regulate and supervise policy for youth programs under the advisement of
the Youth Director. Assist in recruitment,
retention and review of Youth Director and other youth program staff.
