Holocaust Memorial Day–Yom HaShoah is April 18-19, 2012

Volunteers Needed

Do you have 1-2 hours on Sunday, April 15 for something important? We are looking for 30-40 volunteers to make 10-15 deliveries of our Shoah yellow candles.

There is no soliciting involved–simply take the candles in our specially marked bags, follow your door-to-door directions, and hang the bags on members’ doors.

Proceeds from this annual program are being shared between the Mens Club and Temple Israel’s religious school to help fund special school educational programming.

Candles for TIRS families will be given out at school. This is a great activity for families and friends and a perfect way to teach our children the importance of giving of ourselves and of remembering the Holocaust. This important activity is open to every Temple Israel member. Please join us.
