Funds and Endowments of the Temple (as of June 2007)

Temple Israel members have the opportunity to contribute to funds or endowments and designate those funds to specific services. We appreciate all contributions (a minimum contribution of $10.00 per card). A listing of the current funds is shown below for your convenience.

  Ashendorf/Citron/Boxer Medical Endowment Fund: To be used to assist with medical expenses.   Fred & Ilse Bergen Prayerbook Fund: Donations go towards the purchase of Prayer Books.   Building Fund Endowment Fund: To maintain the Temple building.   Cantor’s Music Fund: For musical programs/activities.   Education Endowment Fund: For Education.   General Fund: To be used as needed.   Aaron Gleiberman Simchat Torah Celebration Fund: Used for Simchat Torah Celebrations   Shelton Gorelick Family Endowment Fund: Youth Trips/Programs   Etta & Louis Greenspon Celebrating Life Senior Endowment Fund: For the "Celebrating Life" Senior program.   Hebrew High Scholarship Fund: To provide scholarships for Hebrew High School.   Hospice Fund: To provide training and materials for Hospice Volunteers.   Kiddush Fund: To supplement Oneg Shabbats.   Ralph & Pearl Kier Sukkot Celebration Endowment Fund: For Sukkot and Holiday celebrations   Stuart Kornstein Building Fund: For use in synagogue building   Sam Lerner Sukkah Garden Fund: Used for Sukkah and Sukkah Garden   Shirley Levine Religious School Teacher Endowment Fund: To be used for teacher education   William & Patty Gorelick Membership End. Fund: For use in subsidizing financially assisted memberships   Stuart Ostrow Youth Fund: For youth activities.   Pransky Family Camp Ramah Scholarship Fund: Helps religious school students attend Camp Ramah.   Rabbi Ezring’s Tzedakah Fund: To be used at the Rabbi's discretion.   Rabbi Cantor’s Tzedakah Fund: To be used at the Rabbi’s discretion.   Religious School Fund: Used for the Religious School.   Doris & Albert S. Rousso Endowment Fund: Used for Purim celebrations   Harold & Bette Wolfson Schapiro Senior Program Endowment Fund: For senior programs.   Celia Scher Holocaust Fund: To commemorate Yom Hashoah.   Mickey/Harry Schwartz Educ. Endowment Fund: Religious School scholarships, Confirmation essay award.   Sick and Visitation Fund: To help bring meals to those who were recently hospitalized or getting over illnesses.   David Silverman School Scholarship Endowment Fund: For Religious School scholarships.   Ann Slesinger Education Endowment Fund: For Religious School scholarships.   Social Action Fund: For Social Action needs, RITI, Homeless Shelter.   Sadie Starr Silver Fund: To purchase silver for the kitchen.   Alene & Samuel Strause Emergency Endowment Fund: Subsidize emergency needs of food, housing, medical and other necessities of life.   Sunday Morning Minyan Breakfast Fund: Supplement costs of breakfast, etc.   Sunday Morning Minyan Scholarship Fund: Help children attend a Jewish Camp.   Maurice A. & Rosa B. Weinstein Adult Education Endowment Fund: For Adult Education programs.   Etz Chaim Being offered at a cost of $60 each
