Peter Swire is the C. William O’Neill Professor of Law at the Moritz College of Law of the Ohio State University. He lives in the Washington, D.C. area. Swire is a Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress and a consultant to Morrison & Foerster, LLP. He is director of the Moritz summer

program in D.C. From March 1999 until January 2001, Swire served as the Clinton Administration’s Chief Counselor for Privacy, in the U.S. Office of Management and Budget. USA Today produced a profile of Swire’s work in the White House.

Scholar-in-Residence Rabbi Paul Yedwab

September 19-21, 2008

Temple Israel is proud to announce that Rabbi Paul Yedwab will be our Scholar-in-Residence for the weekend of September 19 thru September 21. Rabbi Yedwab will be teaching, speaking and enhancing our prayer services as well as leading a teachers’ workshop.

Author of six books including The God Book: A Necessarily Incomplete Look at the Essence of God and Sex in the Texts, Rabbi Yedwab is a dynamic, thought-provoking and spiritual speaker that you will not want to miss. Rabbi Yedwab has served as the Rabbi at Temple Israel of West Bloomfield, Michigan since his ordination from the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in 1986, where he did his thesis work in the field of "faith development." Prior to his rabbinic education, Rabbi Yedwab received an A.B. in Politics from Princeton University.

Come join us for Minyan at the Temple. Evening Minyan times are at 7:30pm Monday through Thursday and 5:30pm on Saturday, Sunday at 5:30pm; Morning Minyans are on Thursday 7:30am; Sunday at 9:00am. Please participate in the mitzvah of daily prayer and help those who need to say Kaddish.
